Hello everyone,

I have been trying to get Windows updates over the last couple of days, but my laptop never connects (to the server). Has anyone else experienced this? Is there another way to update my Windows (11, 25H2) laptop?

Try this tutorial - Reset Windows Update in Windows 11

Or, you download the the latest update - KB5129195 Windows 11 Out-of-band Cumulative Update build 26100.9457 (24H2), 26200.9457 (25H2), and 26300.9457 (26H2) - Sept. 14 - from 'Update Catalogue' [search KB5129195] and apply the individual .msu files - see here for instructions.

Hi Denis,

I ran the batch file and restarted my laptop (per the .bat file instructions). After reboot, I went to Windows Update, but it did the same thing, just kept "Working on updates..." So, even thought the .bat file ran successfully, Windows update was not reset.

Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters

A couple more steps when you're in Get Help...

It will ask you which problem you're experiencing (can't download, install)

Then, it will ask if it can run diagnostics (yes)

Did you do those?

Nope. I didn't want to reinstall Get Help on account I removed all bloatware from my laptop. I guess I can give it a shot, but I suspect that it will not give me any definitive solution like most Windows diagnostics.
