Youtube not working

Youtube videos won't play. Youtube loads no probs, I can select videos to play but it doesn't play them, I just get the spinny thing.

I have: restarted the router, restarted the pc and upgraded the graphics driver. Tried FF and Edge. Same. Everything else works tip top and as I said Youtube loads fine too, just won't play.

Win 11 Hone V22H2. Build 22621.4317

Help. Please.

EDIT: Just checked IG, FB and Prime the videos there don't play either. If I turn the volume on the app down then the video starts but when the I turn the volume back up (in the app) the video has no sound and then stops playing again after a few moments.

ALSO: forgot to mention that I just moved into a new flat over the weekend so it's a new router. But all other devices (phones, tablets, alexa and smart tvs) work without a problem.

The current version of RTM/Released Win11 as of Patch Tuesday is 24H2 Build 26100.4061. Looking up Version 22H2 Build 22621.4317 shows this:

Maybe an Upgrade to Version 23H2 or 24H2 will help with the issue?

Updated. Everything is now on the latest version. Still doesn't work.

I don't think it's this. Mainly because everthing else works. Plus I just did a full upgrade from 22H2 to 24H2 this morning.

Nothing has changed. My PC worked fine on Friday last week. Over the weekend I moved into a new place, that's it and now it doesn't play videos online. Everything else works as before.

I just realised you’re still on 22H2. This may make a repair install all but impossible unless you still have a 22H2 ISO. I think I may have one somewhere.

I couldn’t tell you what in the last update included 22H2, possibly just Security Updates? You’ll have to have a read

When you moved in, did you do a complete reset of the router?

If so, I’d possibly bring this to the attention of your ISP.

In 2023, I had an issue that I argued to death with my ISP about not being able to reach certain sites, they kept saying it wasn’t their fault.
Further inspection caused me to notice that all sites that I couldn’t reach were using Cloudflare. It also turned turned out, for some reason nobody wanted to or could explain, something was added to my profile that blocked Cloudflare.

Short story, it wouldn’t hurt them to take a look.
