Hi there
I don't really do zoom etc for private calls / meetings but I noticed on a private meeting I got thrown off after 45 mins -- is that standard or is it a new restriction on totally private (i.e non commercial version).

Company meetings are "Non time limited".

Ms Teams doesn't seem to have this restriction. Actually once you get used to the confusing array of versions etc Ms Teams seems a better product --- but that's for a different thread.

Cheers

Totally normal for 'free' Zoom. My wife was using Zoom for her tutoring as during the pandemic meeting times were unlimited, but since they've reverted back to 45 minutes she's moved over to Teams.

Thanks for the info -- appreciate that. I hope Ms don't do the same - but they are a HUGE corporation so there's no reason why they should.

I'm running their Teams version for Linux (both on a VM on a Windows Host) and native and it doesn't bomb out after 60 mins -- there's though so many versions of Teams that there could be all sorts of restrictions on what you use, whether browser based or native app etc etc. Maybe also if you have some versions of Office Pro 2019 / 365 it might also be included so still uncertainty on that.

Cheers

I've only used Zoom, and can attest to the 40 minutes...as far as Teams is concerned, this comparison indicates the 60 minutes timeout.

Thanks - I appreciate all info -- all info is useful -- sometimes though the 'specs sometimes don't seem to tally with the experience -- I'm not sure either whether I'd do 60 mins in private video calls - however 40 - 45 mins is definitely possible so the 1hr limit seems much more reasonable.

Cheers
