Solved Win 11 can't detect my motherboard Wi-Fi (& Bluetooth?)

As you can see, now there's only one problematic device within "Other Devices" (instead of four previously).
A "Network controller" apparently:
PCI Bus 8, device 0, function 0.

Driver: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\rtldata601.txt, 7/5/2022 18:03:56, 394771 bytes

you could try the driver provided by lenovo for that device

Thanks @SIW2 . So you mean I would have a Realtek Wi-Fi chip instead of a Mediatek one?
That would explain why the Mediatek drivers just won't install! :eek1:
Now I have to find the Realtek Wi-Fi drivers.

Could this be it?...
How can I be certain that I have a 8852BE chip and not something else?
According to Asus website, I should have a Mediatek chip.
This is really weird.

EDIT - an Internet search on "8852BE drivers" only shows OEM results. Nothing directly from Realtek.

PROGRESS! FINALLY!! :star:

2024.04.11 - 04.11.40.png

The Wi-Fi chip has FINALLY been detected, thanks to @SIW2 's driver.
And it works! All my Wi-Fi networks are detected!
It was a Realtek chip! Who would have thought? How is that even possible?... :scream:

I guess now I only need the Bluetooth driver, hopefully SIW2 will save the day too. Fingers crossed!

I'm a computer enthusiast so have quite a few systems that I run. More like an advanced hobby.
I guess so! I really don't have an explanation for this. My mobo is an Asus TUF Gaming B650M-Plus WiFi. Of that I'm sure. It's even confirmed by the command line:

2024.04.11 - 04.24.37.png

Now I only need the Bluetooth driver to solve my problem. Right now Wi-Fi seems to work, but Bluetooth still doesn't detect anything.

Thank you! :-) However, that didn't seem to work this time.
The installation (via Device Manager) immediately shows this:

rtkfilter.inf: oem29.inf was successfully installed on 0 device(s)

Which, like said previously in this thread, means that it didn't install anything.
And the Device Manager doesn't report any change (still "Generic Bluetooth Adaoter").

Could it be that the Bluetooth itself isn't a Realtek 8852BE? Its code seems to be as follows:
USB\VID_13D3&PID_3571\00e04c000001

2024.04.11 - 04.59.42.png

My Bluetooth is FINALLY recognized (it was a Realtek too).
It instantly worked. I could detect all my Bluetooth devices and pair them in the blink of an eye.
This final Bluetooth driver has solved my problem BEAUTIFULLY! 👌

I'm just worried about the Asus website. It clearly points in the wrong direction with that Mediatek stuff. Those are not the drivers for the motherboard I have. Is there a way to inform them? Do they even care? 😅

I can't be thankful enough, to @SIW2 but also to ALL the excellent people in this thread who have pointed me in the right direction.
Guys, I could NEVER have achieved this on my own.
So all my thanks go to you, truly.
THANK YOU!!! 🙏🙏🙏

I suspect you just downloaded the first driver you saw which was the MediaTek one. However, if you click on See All Downloads then will see that there are both MediaTek and Realtek drivers available.

Thank you! Well, that's interesting. The thing is, I didn't even know that for a given motherboard model and for a given functionality (e.g. Wifi/BT) there could randomly be two different chips from two different manufacturers ! 🙄 Live and learn, eh! 😅

Tiny question: while I'm at it, should I install the Realtek audio driver and the AMD graphics driver? Here's what I mean:
  • Right now my desktop PC seems to be running perfectly with the generic Win 11 drivers, so I'm afraid to break something
  • Both drivers are incredibly heavy (357 MB for audio, 2.22 GB for graphics... really?)
  • I don't have a dGPU for the moment, only my Ryzen 7700 IGP, which again seems to run fine with the generic Win 11 drivers. Maybe I should keep things as they are and wait for the day I buy a dGPU. Don't you think?
Thanks!

Many times Windows update will find and install drivers when you install Windows. However, these drivers aren't always the latest. You should check the website for the motherboard and see if any of the drivers are newer than the ones already installed. If they are then download and install them.

What you have found is not unique. Here is a screenshot for the support page for my old laptop. It shows a choice of two manufacturers for the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I had a choice of Atheros or Intel but somehow I knew that Atheros is what I needed.

Device Manager shows that:
  • Audio chip has a generic Microsoft driver (10.0.22621.2506 from October 2023). It's listed as "HD Audio Device", no Realtek mention at all. Seems to work perfectly, so I don't know why I should update it.

  • IGP has the official AMD driver (31.0.22024.3), which appears to be the second-to-last (I suppose it will eventually be updated via Windows Update?).
    With that said:
    • I can't see the AMD driver listed anywhere, besides the Device Manager.
    • I can't find it in Settings > Applications or via Windows search (I've searched for "AMD" and "Radeon").
    • No Radeon control panel in the system tray (or via a right-click on the desktop). How can I find it?
