Hey guys,

Didn't think much it at first, but this is the third time this is popping up:

I haven't been able to find anything useful about "Intel(R) Innovation Platform Framework Utility Application" (what a mouthful) or why it would error out and I don't see it listed in Programs and Features.

In terms of Intel software, I have Intel Graphics Command Center and Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management which both came preinstalled on the laptop.

Any help diagnosing this would be appreciated.

IPF Drivers are part of Intel's Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT), optional software which monitors your PC's power consumption and heat management. Some Reddit users complain it's buggy, and impacts FPS game performance.

You could try running DriverStore Explorer as Administrator, to disable the IPF driver.

Thanks for the heads-up @garlin. It sounds like despite the possible FPS hit, it can also increase FPS in some situations and prolong battery life though, at least when working correctly, which it seems to not always do. Compromises

I rarely game, so if only there were a way to disable it on AC power.
