to everybody : thanks for the suggestions and great help. did the in-place update, had some problems with KB5015814 (again) this one kept downloading and installing, without result until it finally installed after I quit "malwarebytes", restarted the computer and have the version 22000.795, wow...

@Cpap : thank you. I did the reset already with all the commands. I'm a bit scared of the In-Place upgrade, seems more complicated than the simple explanation.

@Cromax : thank you did that, and the same error code 0x80073701 came up, "the reference assembly could not be found". Clicking on how to solve that.... hmmm ....don't really know what to do. Does it mean that I have to reinstall net framwork 3.5 ?

I have the same problem, did the reset : nothing was found on the DIM command nor the sfc /scannow. Tried clean boot, this also does not work, tried manual install, disabled mbam, system cleanup, nothing helps. I'm a bit reluctant to do the In-Place upgrade, looks a bit risky to me, but I...

Whatever I do, windows does not want to update, ran the DISM, sfc/scannow : no errors System troubleshooter, removed content Software distribution, disk cleanup as well and finally tried the manual installation and that failed too. Something must be wrong but what ?
