I'm trying to think if I've successfully connected to WiFi with this live usb before but can't remember. Might look into way driver I might need then and see if it's a driver issue with Linux
I have two usb c ports on the laptop and no others. One would need to be used for charging and the other would be taken up by a usb WiFi dongle. Unless I was to buy a usb c to usb a hub and purchase a usb a dongle.
Thanks, I'll look into thay.. It shows up fine in device manager, I can see the driver against it too. Even if I uninstall the device, and reboot or comes back so to me, clearly, the OS can see it. Bizarre
I took it back apart and couldn't see anything obviously out of place. I didn't go anywhere near that when I was working so it would be unfortunate if I had damaged it.
In the BIOS it says Wi-Fi Device {None}, BUT in Device Manager it says
PCI bus 113, device 0, function 0
and in Event Viewer...

For the longest time, 'This PC' would show a selection of folders at the top, then below a list of all the drives connected. After the latest update, those folders have disappeared and 'This PC' only shows the C drive.
