  1. Solved garlin's PowerShell scripts for updating Secure Boot CA 2023

I´m not sure the free edition only creates a WinPE. I think it does if the "Download Windows components" option is checked. If not, it creates a WinRE. Also, the ISO created with this option not checked is large, 1 GB+, which is more common of a WinRE.
  2. 2026-07 Security Update (KB5101650) (26200.8875) causes boot failure

I installed the Windows 8875 update in a similar AMD ThinkPad laptop (T495s), no problems at all. BitLocker is not active. I also installed a UEFI firmware update for this laptop, which was published a few days ago, and updates the 2023 Secure Boot certs in the firmware. This laptop is...
  3. Easeus issues Todo Backup -update

The bottleneck in this case is the external HDD. As long as you write to an HDD, there´s nothing to do.
  4. Solved garlin's PowerShell scripts for updating Secure Boot CA 2023

Supposedly, this is a Windows 11 forum. Keep it that way.
  5. Bug when upgrading UEFI firmware on HP OMEN 17-cb00011nv

There is no "correct order". The ESP can be at any position in the disk. Because of this, it is usually possible to move it to change its size more easily.
  6. Point-in-time restore for Windows 11 is now generally available

And only changes in the OS C: partition are saved. The changes done in a data partition, if present, are not saved. Or are they?
  7. What file system to place Rescuezilla onto USB stick?

There shouldn´t be any problem using Rufus. I have done in the past and, to check, did it again before writing this post. No problem, fast operation. I selected Large FAT 32 as file system, which is Rufu´s default. The message "D:\ is not accessible. The volume does not contain a recognized...
  8. External HDD 3.0 falls to 2.0

You got the theoretical speed? So it´s not theoretical anymore?
  9. Devices Check, Enable or Disable TRIM Support for SSD Drives in Windows 11

Trim itself does not erases data, but marks the data as "invalid". After a Trim operation, data is read as a deterministic value (DRAT) or as 0s (DZAT). So, effectively, the original data can´t be read, even before the actual erase operation.

  12. OEM's and their Secure Boot Keys (2023) BIOS Update Policy

Did you revoke the 2011 certs when you Mosby'ed your computers, or will you revoke later with Mosby, or will you wait for Windows Update to eventually revoke?
  13. Samsung is killing off SATA SSDs, and your next storage upgrade just got a lot more expensive

Yes. It´s not very common. A 2 TB 870 EVO has 2 GB LPDDR4 DRAM. The non volatile is the NAND Flash memory.
  14. Samsung is killing off SATA SSDs, and your next storage upgrade just got a lot more expensive

Samsung 870 EVO are high-end SATA SSDs, SP and Crucial are not. For one thing, Samsung are DRAM SSDs, which may explain at least partially why the prices have gone up.
  15. Solved Latest Macrium Reflect 8 updates

Out of curiosity, what are "physical vhdx files"? All vhdx files are physical, in the sense that they exist on a physical disk. Or is there another concept involved in this?
