Just installed Greenshot which is perfect for what i need. No lag and can be dumbed down easily.

The screens are not close to me hence i increase to 150. Seems overkill but i prefer a larger display.

Just tried Screen Presso and its a little too advanced for what i need. It also seems to lag when selecting areas of the screen. By the way i had to revert back to 150% as the custom scaling applies to all screens and I only need it to apply to one. Back to the drawing board.

Resolved. I reduced the scaling from 150% to 149% custom and its now working. How odd. Thanks for the info on Screen Presso, I will check it out.

Update 3. If i disconnect my 22" screen leaving two 24" screens it works fine. Something happening when the smaller screen is connected.

Oh by the way those dark areas come up as soon as i open snipping tool. I am not even attempting to snip at this stage. Basically telling me I can only snip in the dark areas.
