Thank you for considering my panic! I regularly use MS Print to PDF, it gives me a much more suitable output than either Adobe PDF (It doesn't help that i am beginning to develop a hatred for Adobe constantly resurrecting their updater and reinstalling their program into components of Office...

Well, hasn't this been fun... Thursday evening i was doing some work in MS Access when it started to behave goofy. I would get "out of memory" errors and restart Access and some other idiot OLE error, then do a restart (of the computer), then at one point we automatically went into repair mode...

@ glasskuter: I'm on it! First step, research how to set up that local user account. I have read that W11 is designed to avoid that (maybe specific to 24H2), and i just don't remember much else, but it will be easy to find. I just re-ordered my work starting with local account, then safe mode...

@glasskuter - i appreciate your attention to detail! I am most focused upon CPU (i would think) with my primary use being MS Office programs. I might be wrong, but i suspect my gpu is likely not a factor (and is probably overkill for what i use this computer for), and since my drives are M.2's...

If i may impose one more time (for now...) on this issue - I know that i saw the slow down hit rather dramatically when it hit back around June of 2023. I honestly don't have a lot of confidence in my ability to recognize improvements for the better (or worse) unless they also are dramatic...

Thanks for reminding me, badrobot, that could have been embarrassing... Need to go out and cut the lawn or i will face the wrath of the wife (coming up on something like the 30th anniversary in Dec), i best handle that and resume in a while!

And i am embarrassed i didn't mention - in trying to figure this out i also suspected malware creeping in. I have run the online scans of Norton (which i usually do not trust but in this case, it was actually recommended), Kaspersky (ibid), HitMan Pro and Eset, all finding nothing.
