  1. Popups opening on random desktop screen, not where cursor is

I had a long and boring Zoom meeting since I posted the question and I knocked up my own equivalent of DialogMove with .NET C#. It doesn't use AutoHotkey. So far I've only tested it with Win + R, and that dialog appears wherever the cursor is. It basically runs in the background waiting for the...
  2. Popups opening on random desktop screen, not where cursor is

If I for example right-click (or shift-delete) on (a) file(s) for deletion in Explorer, the popup window that asks me if I I'm sure I want to delete them can open on a random other screen (I have 4 screens). Based on whether it's a white popup on a white app screen or dark on a dark, it can be...
  3. Restoring Network Connections - An error reconnecting to ...

Thanks for that. I tried all the different methods in there and ensured there was no power saving enabled for any of my USB devices, still no luck. I at least discovered during this that I can avoid the situation by just WinKey + L locking it instead of putting it to sleep. It's powered 24/7 so...
  4. Restoring Network Connections - An error reconnecting to ...

I absolutely believe you're onto something there, but the device manager options for my remote/USB wifi isn't offering me the Power Management tab for some unknown reason. Maybe it only offers that for internal devices. I did notice that it was unpowered just now when I came back to the...
  5. Restoring Network Connections - An error reconnecting to ...

One thing to add, this only happens if I've previously put my computer to sleep. If I instead just do WindowsKey + L to lock it, I don't get this. Makes sense because it's basically fully running and is just stopping the screen output.
  6. Restoring Network Connections - An error reconnecting to ...

I've got a permanent drive mapping of Z: to a network drive (it's a USB drive that is plugged into a Synology NAS that's always switched on). After waking up my Windows 11 Pro (25H2 26200.7462) from its "Sleep", that message below always pops up. After clicking OK and going to Explorer, I see...
  7. Solved Systray, would like to add day-of-week in the empty space left of the clock

Oh, just seen that, not nice: Reworked it a bit: Would be nice if I could make Explorer use Courier New to have it all lining up but that's not an option.
  8. Solved Systray, would like to add day-of-week in the empty space left of the clock

It doesn't affect Google Docs/Sheets etc so I'm good
  9. Solved Systray, would like to add day-of-week in the empty space left of the clock

Very nice. I took that and omitted the year too but kept the month as a number: ddd dd/MM
  10. Solved Systray, would like to add day-of-week in the empty space left of the clock

That's not 100% what I was after but it's as close as it seem like I can get. I was hoping to put the day to the left of the time in the empty space there, so that the date/time widget doesn't get any wider, but only making it 3 characters and a space wider is way more acceptable than the full...
  11. Solved Systray, would like to add day-of-week in the empty space left of the clock

I've looked around the region and date/time options and asked google and copilot and the nearest I can get to an answer is to add the whole day name to the left of the date (which basically doubles the width of the thing. But there's an empty space left of the clock where a 3-letter short...
  12. Taskbar mouseover on Explorer gives a ghost thumbnail alongside real one.

Right click does dismiss it, thanks. I'll probably cease my investigation just knowing that. Weird that clicking on its X button doesn't do what a right click does but there ya go. I don't have that Snap Grouping thing enabled and have never shared from taskbar (or enabled it, but the way...
  13. Taskbar mouseover on Explorer gives a ghost thumbnail alongside real one.

I'm gonna keep that in my back pocket. I fully expect that a regular restart might make this go away, until the day comes when it's back again. Was just hoping someone would know what it is. Something as simple as toggling an option somewhere.
  14. Taskbar mouseover on Explorer gives a ghost thumbnail alongside real one.

No, this is a fairly new machine and I'm sure I didn't install anything like that.
