  1. Customizing the Win+X menu on 23H2?

I just tried a brand new install of this in a VM, and the WinAero program (version 3.0.0, the newest one) does not work at all. You can't add anything and attempting to restore the default settings just fails as well. Has anyone figured out a working way to do this? I'd like to change...
  2. Has anyone gotten the Win-X menu to work when enabling the "old" taskbar?

Are you *sure* ExplorerPatcher uses OpenShell? I don't see a single reference to that anywhere, when I search or look through programs list.
  3. Win-X blacklist for cmd.exe?

Ah, clever, using a batch file to bypass whatever blacklist it has built in. Cool
  4. Win-X blacklist for cmd.exe?

Doesn't work. The "Windows Terminal" shortcut stays, and then just says it can't find wt.exe every time you click it lol. So what I did was kind of a bypass, I just copied cmd.exe and the cmd.exe.mui files, and named them wt. But that's not really ideal.
  5. Win-X blacklist for cmd.exe?

Please do! My issue is that, at least in Windows 10 and 11, any of the "modern" apps using UWP have a noticeable lag before they open. It's not even just the first time either, it does it every time you close the program and relaunch it. I'm not sure what is going on behind the scenes that...
  6. Win-X blacklist for cmd.exe?

Indeed I did. It doesn't work, any link to cmd.exe gets hidden. I even did it just now with the hashlink thing (even though WinAero's editor already does the same thing!) and it doesn't show up. If I change it to any other .exe, it shows up.
  7. Has anyone gotten the Win-X menu to work when enabling the "old" taskbar?

How do I do that? I just click start and start typing, and it uses the Windows one.
  8. Has anyone gotten the Win-X menu to work when enabling the "old" taskbar?

Oh, it's for stuff I search for (which uses the native Windows 11 search) For example, I don't see Control Panel in the 10 start menu. So I search for it, and if I try to pin to start it just pins it to the 11 start.
  9. Win-X blacklist for cmd.exe?

This seems to be a weird one. Since Windows 11 is heavily pushing their "Windows Terminal" (which sucks, btw... even on a 9th gen i7 it takes 3-4 full seconds to open, instead of popping up instantly like the classic console host cmd.exe. Because of their stupid UWP system), I wanted to...
  10. Has anyone gotten the Win-X menu to work when enabling the "old" taskbar?

But it looks just like Windows 10! Except, I notice when you try to pin stuff to start, it doesn't work. It pins them to the built in Windows start menu instead which is disabled
  11. Has anyone gotten the Win-X menu to work when enabling the "old" taskbar?

Holy crap! It has a Windows 10 start menu too! That's amazing. I need to look into the source code to see how they're doing it. It's not the same method as WinAero uses, I can tell that much.
  12. Has anyone gotten the Win-X menu to work when enabling the "old" taskbar?

I've been messing with Windows 11 in a virtual machine for a while. I'm not interested in upgrading my primary computer to it, because I absolutely hate the new user interface and clunkiness of it all. But one thing that's been bothering me since it launched - WinAero discovered that you can...
