Canary, Dev and Beta are the usual builds for how Windows is developed. The insider preview are because a big update is coming for the general public (non insider community). It will fade away after the big update.

Some Apps have been updated through MS Store, this is also an alternate way of updating the OS functionalities I think the priority for MS is to stabilize the code before implementing new fonctionalities.

The idea is to make those changes mandatory o the user. Cumulative updates can be forced, not the big 2xHx updates. It will force the adoption of those features through the community.

You are right that this recent push of App update coincide with the release of the big OS update. I just wanted to stress that many of the features advertised by MS for this update are already active for all MS users just because of MS Store update. Remove all these App update and the checklist...

It is 22H2. Since it is a regular update, everybody will get it and MS does not want people to refuse the update, like they can to 23H2

Usually Apps are updated through the store, this is done unrelated to the Windows Update. Check your MS Store history, many Apps are updated recently.

Also depending you are on the left or the right side of the street ?? :-) I do not really care much about Copilot, this is just Bing in the taskbar right now, but when you start to miss a featuren, you wonder what is going on and what other you also miss.

I am still curious not having Copilot, I think this is a major Bug considering MS push

I wonder if Beta users are updated as well ?
