  1. Which Processor to pick

4.2 was introduced in 2008 on Intel i7s and 2011 on AMDs. It's the rest of the hardware that should matter in this case. Seeing as it's a new PC you should be looking at keeping it for at least 3 or 4 years.
  2. Which Processor to pick

As you said, you'll be doing some photo editing so maybe a dedicated GPU could be of use in this case. Also, a storage HDD could be of use as well. Would you have a link to the PCs you intend on buying?
  3. Solved Can I permanently prevent Xbox re-installation?

Once uninstalled, where do you see the Xbox apps appear? The way i did it was to go to: Settings - Apps - Installed Apps - and type XBox in the search field. This is what I get : I still have the apps show in Services and I simply Disabled them. I do not have any instances of XBox in the...

  6. Solved Are Portable SSD's Good for Backup Purposes? How long will they last? And what about 'bit-rot'?

Hi! I own a T7 and have owned it for about 3 years now. I used it as storage before I installed a bigger nvme in my notebook. It sat for about 7 or 8 months without being used and when I powered it up the other month, it still had all of it's files and programs on it and nothing was lost. I...
  7. Game does not run with 120Hz refresh rate

This may or may not help . I have an old 2007 game on Steam which is locked at 60FPS and it still plays well on my MSI Raider 360Hz display. Can you choose another display setting other than 120Hz? In Steam, choose the game's thumbnail and right click on it: Once in Properties, on the...

I have Home and with InControl I haven't seen 24h2 offered again. Like I said, it's an .exe and no install. Just choose which version you want to stay on and click the button take control. Close the app and keep it in a safe place. But remember that , 23h2 does have a end of life and after the...
  12. Slow Shutdown

You might find that it's bloat but, it might serve you well to make sure you really don't need it. MSI Center adjusts the fans and the overclock and a bunch of other things that I Really need to tweak once in a while. Also, make sure that , when you uninstall one of those apps that you might...

You could also check in the Component Services: Follow the numbers and see if there are any Errors . If there are, click on it and see description on the bottom part of that section: Mine was MSI Center which I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work right again.
  15. Solved A bit confused again. What actually is/isn't possible, re keeping Home 23h2 and avoiding 24h2 being forced on us?

You're welcome. Anything from GRC is usually pretty good. You can release the control anytime just by clicking on the Release button. This is a simple .exe and no install needed.
