Thanks. The latest update seems to have fixed my problem -- now I'm waiting to find out what else they broke this time, at which point this may come in useful.
In its wisdom, Windows 11 has updated my system again (KB5035942 and KB5035853). I had previously uninstalled KB5035853 because it broke some things -- but this time those things work, and what is broken instead is File Explorer. When I try to open Explorer, or right-click on an item, or try to...
"At the moment, Microsoft’s support document for the March cumulative update indicates there are no known issues."
See no evil, hear no evil, fix no evil.
Aha, Many thanks. I finally found that option in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.’
I installed an update yesterday (KB5035853) to Win 11 23H2 and suddenly stuff is broken:
* Windows won't let me go to shell:appdata in Explorer
* Windows doesn't recognise my headset mic any more
There are probably other things I haven't discovered yet -- it's only been a few hours...
To fix...
