I do believe you are absolutely 100% correct. I had PotPlayer installed on my old system and installed on this new one, but have not used it. Just tried it and the preview is there.

Uninstalled Edge Game Assist and it stopped Edge and Edge Game Assist from running in the background when I launched Elite Dangerous, marking this thread as solved. While I was at it I also uninstalled Game Bar and XBox.

In Edge Settings>System & Performance>System plus Edge Settings>System & Performance>Performance I have everything disabled. In Task Scheduler I have the two standard Edge scheduled tasks disabled. In Services I have the three standard Edge services disabled. There is nothing else to disable...

Never mind, I found them. Isn't google great.

Where do I find the tasks, according to google there should be an Edge folder and I don't have one.

In Task Manger I stopped Edge. Since I just made these changes I will see what happens tomorrow when I turn the PC on. Hopefully Edge will not start.

I shut all of that off and Edge is still running in Task Manager>Processes.
