Hello zbook, After uninstalling McAfee with the McAfee tool, the installation went through to completion. I'm on Windows 11 now! I'm sorry to have wasted your time, but having never used McAfee on my PC, I thought I'd never had it... but obviously my PC came with McAfee pre-installed by default...

The "clean" install is not an option for the moment. To much software to install and many other obstacles. So I will persevere. Maybe a solution will exist before the support of W10 ends. best regards

zbook, I don't know why the log is in French even though the system was in English when I ran those tools. Maybe the .bat calls other commands or execs that are in Franch version so they produce logs in French. Any idea ?
