Question about using the selection tool.
In PSP5, when you selected an area, and dragged the tool to the outermost parts of the image, the tool stopped moving in the X and Y positions at that point. This is handy, because if you started the selection at the x0 y0 coordinates and dragged the...
Has anyone had issues with GIF images they've created in Animation Shop 3.04 and then tried to add text to the image via the website:
https://ezgif.com/add-text
Both the images below - I captured them from YT using ShareX as one long file. Then, I opened the file in Animation Shop 3.04 and...
I'm glad I brought this issue up. I genuinely thought, after all these years, it simply wasn't a feature of PSP you could alter - you just had to save your files (by default) as .psp files. End of story.
The same way those early Adobe products forced you to save files in their native formats...
Thank you so much for this! I'd been using PSP5 since about 1999 and switched to PSP7 less than a year ago and I never actually thought it was possible short of some sort of Registry hack.
It defo works in PSP7. I'll fire up a virtual machine later and try it on PSP5.
*** Linux question ***
I'm currently using Debian KDE and I've got PSP7 running perfectly fine via Wine.
However, it's limited to 2GB memory. Is there a way to make it LAA and up it to 4GB? :geek:
Panic over - I've solved it guys.
Using FileTypesMan, I looked for .jpg files.
The 'Open - Command Line' was set as:
- "C:\Program Files (x86)\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\psp.exe" /dde
I changed it to:
- "C:\Program Files (x86)\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\psp.exe" "%1"
Et...
I've just allowed Win11 to update to winver 25H2 (build 26200.7623) - and now PSP7 is not working.
Double-clicking on a .jpg file in explorer opens up PSP7 but the image does not appear. It's just a blank PSP7 window.
Anyone had this happen?? :(
I'm still having this issue in Win11.
When I boot into Win 10, OneCommander starts up with zero delay.
I have ExplorerPatcher installed on Win11 - could this be the issue?
As per the thread title, that's how long OneCommander is taking to load on my PC in Win 11. My PC is neither old nor slow.
Am I missing something? Lots of people I know rave about this program.
I installed Libre Office on all the office PCs around 4 years ago.
On the server, I created a group policy in the default domain policy to force Libre Office to save files in the latest Microsoft format (namely .docx, .xlsx, .pptx) and have never had a single minutes problem with it.
Found another way to make those changes without having to go digging in the registry.
Use FileTypesMan.
