What do you mean by "unhook" the drives and internet? like take out my HDD and shut off the internet on install?

WELL...I had Windows 10, I hit "reset this PC" and updated to Windows 11...But then when I brought it into the shop, the guy told me that i hadn't updated to Windows 11, and he did. So I don't think I've done a clean install, I think i've done an upgrade from 10 to 11

I can't boot either Memtest because they're uploaded to a USB to be utilized for a boot...but the BIOS isn't recognizing the drive as a Boot option, only a storage option. Can;t use for Sea Tools, as the drive is just a little too small I have not attempted to use Media Creation Tool

It was on a christmas deal from ibuypower prebuilts, so maybe they were trying to get rid of them? I've looked at temps, and its not with the CPU or GPU...I've been assured its not power from a PC repair shop (not sure I believe them) and it says BugCheck was the event that forced the reboot in...

@zbook @Ghot I can't get anything to work...super frustrated at this point...I don't want to buy a whole new PC, i'd love to just identify some part of the PC that I can ditch and get a new part for so I don't need to deal with this...

I cannot boot from the USB. in my bios, it recognizes the USB as storage, in addition to the SSD and HDD, but it does not view any other options for BOOT. I have googled this and there are recommendations to turn to legacy mode for boot, nothing has worked... EDIT: May have gotten to it, hold on

@zbook @Ghot Alright its not liking it. I ran windows memory diagnostic tool again, no issues found

good call on F8, but the PC isn't reading the USB as another boot option. It has the memtest files on it, it's formatted as a 32, its just not showing up. Also for some reason, the USB (E drive) has an accompanying F drive that appears, but cannot be accessed and disappears when I eject the USB :)

@Ghot @zbook Both RAM sticks work when only 1 is in. Trying to run the memtest, but its not recognizing the USB as another boot option in BIOS. I saw it earlier in the night, but its not showing up right now...i'll figure it out tomorrow...

Every eventviewer log for crashes reads the same. 1. Error: Previous shutdown (which could have been over an hour ago) was unexpected 2. volmgr Dump file generation succeeded 3. Kernel-Power System has rebooted w/o cleanly shutting down 4. Audit events have been dropped by the transport 5...

The ram sticks were in the 1 and 3, just moved them to the 2 and 4. Re Windows, I was having this issue with Windows 10, did a reset and then clean install of Windows 11, same issue. I can do it again I guess...
