Repeated Crashes, can't figure out why

*I posted this in a separate channel, then realized there was a BSOD analysis channel, mods please don't get mad at me

Really getting frustrated with repeated crashes. I've owned the PC for 3.5 years, and about a year ago, I noticed that when gaming (Overwatch), I would start to have issues if I had too many applications open. Tried diagnosing with a friend, swapped out RAM sticks, couldn't solve it, but didn't think too much of it.

About a month ago, I decided to swap the ram sticks back, just to see what would happen. Big mistake, i now get BSOD pretty frequently. Taken it to two PC repair shops, they assure me its not hardware, (not sure if I believe them). Reset the PC, updated all drivers, updated to Windows 11, ran test after test, all of the performance tests go great, until I hit a stress level after 2-3 hours, and then it'll make it through with flying colors, or crash during something like a CPU test.

Tried going into event viewer, throws off repeated warnings and errors, it'll be fine for a few hours, and then crash with no warning. From what I can tell, the EventViewer says the system reboots due to a BugCheck. EventViewer says all events are from Windows PowerShell. Tried using a BSOD Viewer, said of last 5 crashes, 3 were caused by ntoskrnl.exe, 1 by Ndu.sys and 1 by partmgr.sys.

I'm not sure how to make heads or tails of this, but really getting frustrated. If anyone give me a process I can go through or a part that I should replace, I'll give you a kiss. Let me know if there's any more information I can provide <3

First RAM sticks that I got with the PC from IBuyPower were Adata 8gb (AX4U320038G16A-BW41)
Took them out when I first started having issues, swapped them for G. Skill Ripjaws DDR4, 16gb each (F4-3200C16D-32GVK)

Neither are designated as QVL according to ASUS

ASUS doesn't test "every" RAM combo on motherboards.
But.... on the GSkill RAM Configurator, the F4-3200C16D-32GVK RAM, has been tested to work on your motherboard.

Make sure the RAM is in slots #2 and #4, counting away from the CPU to the right.

I don't know if this problem is affecting you, but it happened to me on an ASUS x570 board.

Just bookmark that topic for future reference.

Those errors look to me like it's time for a clean install of Windows 11.

The ram sticks were in the 1 and 3, just moved them to the 2 and 4. Re Windows, I was having this issue with Windows 10, did a reset and then clean install of Windows 11, same issue. I can do it again I guess...

There could be many reasons for those errors.
One of those reasons could be Windows file corruption.

This is the main reason most of the regulars on here, use 3rd party backup software.
If you decide to do a clean install of Win 11... make sure you make a backup.

Plus... I gave you ten reaction points just for filling out your computer specs. :-)

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Please perform these steps:

1) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link

2) Turn off Windows fast startup

3) Create a new restore point:

@Ghot @zbook Both RAM sticks work when only 1 is in. Trying to run the memtest, but its not recognizing the USB as another boot option in BIOS. I saw it earlier in the night, but its not showing up right now...i'll figure it out tomorrow

On ASUS motherboards, when you Start or Restart the computer... start spamming the F8 key, gently.
This will bring up the Boot Menu. It looks like this...

good call on F8, but the PC isn't reading the USB as another boot option. It has the memtest files on it, it's formatted as a 32, its just not showing up. Also for some reason, the USB (E drive) has an accompanying F drive that appears, but cannot be accessed and disappears when I eject the USB :)

Some trial and error steps:

1. Try another USB stick
2. Try all USB ports (2.0 and 3.0)
3. Maybe when using UEFI Bios you have to temporarily switch to Legacy in BIOS settings
4. Turn off temporarily fast boot, secure boot, CSM if enabled

Unfortunately Windows memory testing regularly displays pass with malfunctioning RAM.

Run Memtest86 for two tests of four passes each.

Only the pay version of this software runs 8 passes wit additional tests.

I cannot boot from the USB. in my bios, it recognizes the USB as storage, in addition to the SSD and HDD, but it does not view any other options for BOOT. I have googled this and there are recommendations to turn to legacy mode for boot, nothing has worked...

EDIT: May have gotten to it, hold on
