Yep, I actually thought about it after I posted the response and in all probability I'll keep the Portable version.
It does what I want it to do - clears history, stores my log-ins (via cookies saved), and leaves my system restore alone.
You are right. The whole point of having CCleaner was to negate the constant re-sign back into sites.
I have used LastPass, Dashlane and Bitwarden but with CCleaner saving cookies, I can clear history and not have to re-sign in - which is why I got CCleaner (as we mentioned).

Deleted it now and System Restore has still stayed OFF since I deleted CCleaner yesterday.
It would appear to be a bug with CCleaner as Bree mentioned.

Hi, at this stage it would appear I have solved it.
I have deleted a program and rebooted / checked several times.
It is now staying OFF.
I will check it again tomorrow but the program seems to have been the issue.

Unfortunately, I turn my Dell Inspiron System Restore OFF (Have done from Day One.)
I restart my Laptop Daily and it returns to System Restore ON.
