UPDATE: After 1 hr, with no detectable progress, did a restart. Checked for updates, did 0 to 100% download and started installing. SFC/DISM completed with no errors.

Several days ago, looking at Best Buy, (which I hardly ever do) seen the Samsung 990 Pro 2tb for $119.99. Don't exactly need this, but figured it was a bargain and will end up changing it out with my 1 TB on W11. Came via mail yesterday.
Adding some additional details. When trying DISM or SFC, the cursor blinks but nothing else happens. I cannot even type exit as it appears to be hung? I have to close the window. Additionally, when I check for updates, "checking for updates" runs continuously.

Backup before you try this. Open the account you want to delete. Select the 3 horizontal bars [upper right] . Expand your account >, then manage your account and at the bottom select [Delete account]. Be sure to back up your account before hand.
