Thank you all gents for your suggestions and help. I have used the Bulk ReName Utility and used the code or script from Regex Assistant. All worked wonderfully well and, as a bonus, I've discovered so music in the files I haven't heard for many years. Thank you all.

I have a widget in the taskbar that brings up news and events. I used to click on an item and it would open in Microsoft Edge although my default browser is Google Chrome. Not a problem. My problem now is that I click on an item displayed by the widget and it goes to Edge, the address bar shows...
