  1. Two PC's w/ Windows 11 Pro - Can't Access Each Other on Shared Network

This. Along with myself googling "allow blank password use windows 11"... and following the steps I found from that... Seems to have resolved this issue! I had to reboot one of the two PC's but after that it all suddenly started working! I now have full access to all shared resources on my...
  2. Two PC's w/ Windows 11 Pro - Can't Access Each Other on Shared Network

There is no login at all. They both just boot straight to the Windows Desktop. Though there is a splash screen before the Desktop loads that says "Hello (My Name)" etc... then it loads the Desktop... and personally if I could get rid of that screen, I would. When I installed Windows 11, I...
  3. Two PC's w/ Windows 11 Pro - Can't Access Each Other on Shared Network

@glasskuter - thank you for replying! They both pop up this little box that says... Basically, I can't even see any files... on one PC, all I can see is just a folder that I set to be shared on the network, presuming I would be able to access the contents of said folder, but it won't even...
  4. Two PC's w/ Windows 11 Pro - Can't Access Each Other on Shared Network

I have two PC's sitting side by side... Both are running Windows 11 Pro 25H2; and both are using a "Local Account" to login... They can see each other on my Network, but neither can access each other... despite having Network set to Private, Sharing Enabled, smb1/2/3/etc enabled... guest...

  6. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

Success! I bought an 11 Pro Retail Key from Gamers Outlet for $8. Entered the Key and poof, it upgraded this 11 Home install to 11 Pro and Activated Windows! All problems solved, and just finished installing all the necessary drivers.
  7. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

Oh no worries... I'm definetely leaning more in the direction of your original advice now... buying a new key... Especially after looking at the prices on the website @Fabler2 posted earlier. Its definetely a much more... affordable option there... tempted to buy the 11 Pro Retail key they...
  8. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

Yes. I'm starting to lean more in this direction now... Considering the prices from the link @Fabler2 posted... That would be a better option rather then dealing with the stress of putting this Windows 10 boot drive into the new PC, booting to it, and dealing with a million buggy driver...
  9. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

Thats definetely a good last resort option... Though I want to try a more.. legit path first.... If Microsoft keeps insisting that I should "upgrade this exact PC" to Windows 11... I'll give them a chance to eat those words and put the boot drive from this PC into the new one; and have it boot...
  10. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

What are the chances that I could take the boot disk from this Windows 10 PC... Install it into the new PC and have that PC boot up to this Windows 10 installation... Yea sure it'll go through the whole process of recognizing a new motherboard, cpu, etc.... probably mess it up a bit... But...
  11. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

How do I get in touch with Microsoft.. for some sort of "live help" ... without a Microsoft Account? Every avenue I've tried so far has prompted me to login with a Microsoft Account. The problem I'm having is I think this key IS an OEM Key; even though I bought it with an installation disc...
  12. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

Hmm.. interesting... google says there is... even has a step by step guide for doing it with windows 11 through its security & update settings. But for windows 10 it says its a matter of going into regedit and deleting the key and rebooting the PC so Microsofts key-finders no longer see's it...
  13. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

Ok correction... I just clicked to run the troubleshooter again. It says "we weren't able to activate windows on this device. You can activate this device by going to the store and purchasing a genuine copy of windows" I then click close, and under System>Activation and "Activation State" ...
  14. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

I used the Activation Troubleshooter... it just says I "do not have a valid digital license or product key".... Yet on this Win10 PC, it says it is connected to a digital license. So I am presuming I have to DE-activate it on this Win10 PC, so Microsoft no longer see's it registered to any device?
  15. Solved Windows 11 Home not accepting my Windows 10 Home key???

How do I deactivate the Key on my Windows 10 PC... that Im using now to post this... If after de-activating it... and entering it into the Windows 11 PC.... if it still doesnt accept it, can I then RE-active this Windows 10... or am I then screwed with 2 PC's that I cant activate?
