  1. Solved Need HD getting full alert

Hard Disk Sentinel will do this but it's not free. I've used it for years. https://www.hdsentinel.com/
  2. Overwhelmed - Macrium Reflect

Macrium sent me this today: Dear Robert, Our records indicate that you currently hold a legacy version license. This means that your software continues to run, but it no longer receives updates, security patches, or technical support. This could expose your systems to security...
  3. StartAllBack - Windows 11 Start button

I didn't mean to imply that your post wasn't helpful. I was commenting on a site that was offering a different version of an application than the developer's site.
  4. StartAllBack - Windows 11 Start button

The site in your link is odd. It downloads version "1.0.0" of SAB but SAB is actually at version 3.9.22 when downloaded from the developer's site. I think I'd be wary of downloading this from anywhere but the developer's site. https://www.startallback.com/
  5. Solved Macrium Reflect 8 -VSS Timeout

AskWoody's "Patch Lady" (Susan Bradley) reported on this today if this helps anyone: On the same day I sent out an MS-DEFCON Alert recommending installing the April updates, Ira Shapiro alerts us to issues with backup software. I’m not seeing this with all backup software, but some vendors have...
  6. Solved How do they make money?

I used to run the free version of Macrium Reflect and I liked it so much I bought the commercial version because I felt they deserved the business by having a free product with so many features. I can only surmise that many people just opted to run the free version.
  7. Overwhelmed - Macrium Reflect

I suppose it's in their best interest (financially) to not fix this and hope users will migrate to the new version. On the other hand, it would be good public relations.
  8. Overwhelmed - Macrium Reflect

I'm glad I found this thread; I thought I was the only person having this problem. I seldom have to mount a backup image but going forward, when I do, I'm going to shut off the vulnerable driver blocklist, reboot, mount my backup image and do what I have to do, turn drive blocklist back on...
  9. Solved What does this mean? What should I do?

You usually get 5GB of "free" iCloud storage. On your phone, if you visit Settings -> Apple Account -> iCloud -> iCloud Backup do you have "Back up this iPhone" enabled? I opted for an iCloud subscription (50GB); it's dirt cheap - $1/month.
  10. Solved What does this mean? What should I do?

I think the OP might have been using an older version of iTunes that was having an issue with Windows 11. I am using the the latest version downloaded from the Microsoft Store and it does in fact support backing up an iPhone.
  11. Solved What does this mean? What should I do?

Great! Not to belabor the point but I have the latest version of iTunes on my Windows 11 PC and it's able to back up my iPhone 15. I'm also at 25H2 so maybe you were just running an older version of iTunes. Whatever...you're backing up and that's what counts. Rob
  12. Solved What does this mean? What should I do?

Yes, it's called Apple Devices and it's in the Microsoft Store. You install it on your Windows PC the same way you installed iTunes. I had to uninstall Apple Devices because it can't add music to an iPod; it can only delete music. Go figure. In any case, you use Apple Devices to back up...
  13. Solved What does this mean? What should I do?

I'm happy it solved your problem. To back up your phone you can use Apple Devices in the Microsoft Store. I just had an adventure with that myself. I've got an old-as-the-hills first-generation iPod Touch which I was going to update with some music. iTunes refused to recognize the iPod so...
  14. Solved What does this mean? What should I do?

AI says: The mdnsnsp.dll (Bonjour) module is blocked by Windows 11 LSA protection because it is an unsigned or outdated plugin attempting to load into secure memory. To resolve, disable the Bonjour Service in services.msc, unregister the DLL via Command Prompt, or uninstall Bonjour/iTunes and...
  15. Microsoft says Copilot is for entertainment purposes only ...

You can search for "Google/Youtube AI Lawsuit" and find things like this: Gemini Suicide Lawsuit (March 2026): Google was sued regarding allegations that its Gemini chatbot played a role in a man's suicide. I suppose that's enough to make Microsoft declare that Copilot isn't meant to be taken...
