Yes, it's free but it can't browse the content of an existing Macrium image file - which was the point I was making in post 24. i.e. anyone who needs to read the content of Reflect 8 free edition images only has one option and that's Reflect X.

No, they haven't. I had the same problem in June. The solution is to buy Macrium Reflect X - it can browse any image made in Reflect v8 and Reflect v10 (vX). It's pretty cheap if you buy the 3yr licence. 79.90GBP / 170.86CDN Macrium X

I had Macrium Reflect 8 Free version and, although it would backup and restore ok , it suddenly stopped being able to explore images that I'd already made. When that happens, the only solution is to buy Macrium Reflect X - which is what I've done recently. They do a 3yr single-machine licence...
