Well its no longer an issue, as i removed all pinned items. Thanks everyone
Just for reference, the reason why this happens for me is because of how their UI is designed for wrong password prompts. Instead of simply telling you its wrong, it dissapears the input box, and makes you press okay...
Update:
@Edwin 's theory on being pinned was the cause of it.
Still strange though that when I hit enter after logging in (in the 2nd video above), or just opening the start menu and hit enter, it does NOT open edge. Only when coming in from the lock screen doing a 2X enter......
I...
But the prior state was not with Edge open?
Tried that, nothing happens. See 2nd video below.
Yes it is. I could try unpinning it. But if being pinned there in 1st position is the cause, i would think edge would also open when I open start menu and hit enter. Or when I do what's shown in the...
Even when you type the password into the field box and hit enter, and enter again? Because the first enter should automatically register it as correct password and log you in
Well I'm not actually just locking it, I'm doing a sleep. So I put it into sleep and then when it wakes up it's on that...
I frequently just hit the enter key twice on accident (because i mistype the password then have to hit enter again to clear it and make another attempt, and im doing it quickly).
But Why is Edge opening up?
Yes, I could try to just hit it once instead, or not use the start menu to put my...
after a recent windows updates, it seems to be back to normal. Hopefully not speaking too soon.
Not sure how either of these are related, but this is what I updated.
Did not work after disabling co-pilot and restarting. So this is some glitch in the Voice input feature or new feature with it. Bummer.
Also, when the voice input box is open, all buttons and clicking change function. Hard to explain, but buttons and clicking all do random things seemingly. I...
I need to try this tomorrow, because I literally can't even use it anymore. It gets what I say, then deletes entire sentences. Hope they update it or provide some setting to fix this soon. I don't understand.
I dont want it rewording or rewriting at all. Just my personal preference, and it never did that before is the thing....
Sounds to be a confirmed bug based on the Microsoft advisors responses.
It correctly gets what I said the first attempt, then changes it.
A recent example: "Okay perfect...
Sorry I don't understand. I don't want copilot I'm not trying to use it. I even uninstalled it in the apps. Or were you just making a joke about how it's annoying and useless?
Using voice to text, it now highlights what I just said, delete its, and re-words it on it's own to something very different. Like an AI re-write. This example in my video is not big, it just adds quotations marks for some reason as if im speaking in the 3rd person, and does some grammar...
Thanks. I uninstalled copilot and edge, but I could try reinstalling and giving it a shot.
I think My earlier comment about being woken up by plugging it in, turned out not to be correct. As this time the laptop was just sitting for several hours.
I'm not worried about notification noises...
