Using voice to text, it now highlights what I just said, delete its, and re-words it on it's own to something very different. Like an AI re-write. This example in my video is not big, it just adds quotations marks for some reason as if im speaking in the 3rd person, and does some grammar corrections, but a lot of the times it rewords things too and wont leave it alone.

Seems to be a recent bug. Anyone else heard of this?

Posted here by another user, this is exactly what is occurring to me--> Voice Typing is Rewording - Microsoft Q&A

I tried uninstalling co-pilot after updating all updates. Still same issue. Mine also stops working after using it once, spinning wheel. Just like that user described ^

I speak 1 sentence "Can you send a picture", then it self highlight and changes it on its own. The end of video is when I try to bring the voice to text back up and it spins the wheel endlessly

Why then, am I not entertained as much as annoyed by Copilot? Could that, perhaps, be "CYA language?" Makes me wild sometimes, but checking every little detail from Copilot (or making it do things over until they work) is absolutely essential. Sigh.

"...but a lot of the times it rewords things..."
Can you give an example of when it does that?

Let's take an example that I would try:
I say: What time in Italy
Then I'm assuming that it would re-word it to:
"What time is it in Italy?"
I'm guessing it would do that autocorrection, so the AI system would understand the question more precisely.

But if it rewords it to: "What time is it in Germany?" (instead of Italy), then this would be a bug in the program.

Sorry I don't understand. I don't want copilot I'm not trying to use it. I even uninstalled it in the apps. Or were you just making a joke about how it's annoying and useless?
My bad. I forget not everyone understands my strange humor. Indeed many (including me) find Copilot annoying and useless.

I dont want it rewording or rewriting at all. Just my personal preference, and it never did that before is the thing....
Sounds to be a confirmed bug based on the Microsoft advisors responses.

It correctly gets what I said the first attempt, then changes it.

A recent example: "Okay perfect, I just need to confirm a few more things on the parking lot" was changed to
"I just need to confirm a few more things on the parking lot". So it removed my acknowledgment to the persons message: "Okay perfect".

Another was "Hey do you think you can represent it" got changed Even though these examples show poor grammar, it's still technically altering the words, and it never did so before.

I think it's because the AI doesn't understand the context of what I'm writing and I don't want it to attempt to, leave it alone lol.

Yeah I've seen this happen pretty sure it’s the auto punctuation / rewrite layer kicking in after the initial transcription. If it’s doing it after getting the words right the first time it’s usually not hearing you wrong, it’s just trying to rephrase it which is way more annoying.

Use winaero tweaker (just for simplicity of 1 checkbox), disable copilot, reboot, try again. See if it still does it. That will confirm or eliminate copilot as the culprit quickly.

I need to try this tomorrow, because I literally can't even use it anymore. It gets what I say, then deletes entire sentences. Hope they update it or provide some setting to fix this soon. I don't understand.

Did not work after disabling co-pilot and restarting. So this is some glitch in the Voice input feature or new feature with it. Bummer.

Also, when the voice input box is open, all buttons and clicking change function. Hard to explain, but buttons and clicking all do random things seemingly. I have to close the voice input box first before I can do anything again.

Like I went to click the notifcations icon on elevenforums site, and it kept opening everything in a new window, every click = a new window. I hold shift key on my keyboard and it no longer capatilizes letters, control C is no longer control C, etc... typing triggers random shortcuts, idk

The moment I closed the voice input box, everything goes back to normal. idk what the heck is going on with this thing

after a recent windows updates, it seems to be back to normal. Hopefully not speaking too soon.
Not sure how either of these are related, but this is what I updated.
