Yeah, I know, I was replying to Glasskuter. Just to make everything clear. I have a couple of full size SD cards and a couple of micro-SD cards with adapters to make them full size. They plug directly into a slot in my laptop. If I can't solve this I may need to use a USB card reader.
Yes, I just double checked. The Win10 machine can write to all of the cards. I read a post online where someone had the same problem and it was suggested to put a piece of tape over the lock switch so I tried that. No luck.
