Just to add, you can also change it by going to: Make sure your network is set to Private Settings ---> Network & internet ---> Advanced Network Settings ---> Advanced sharing settings ---> All networks. There's a setting in there for Password Protected Sharing. You can turn that setting off.

I've actually run into this a couple of times myself on my PC. I notice it happens when there's a major version update to windows, it seems to reset the network settings to default with file sharing off.
