@pseymour my screen shot looks nothing like yours: @neemobeer, following that link asks me to open JSON file which pops up a Windows asking me to open an app on my computer.

Every time I reboot my computer I get a popup that looks like an advertisement, any way to turn this off?

I hate showing my ignorance. C:(Windows) is the root, no problem deleting the Backup folder using Windows Explorer even though I couldn't delete it in an Administrator: Command Prompt. Now the shared folder have quit sharing so I'm almost back to square on.

There is no Folder named FileHistory in the D:\Backups folder, and all the files from %userprofile% from my Windows drive are there with the FH data appended to the file name. I've tried everything I could think of to delete C:\Backup to no avail.

Thanks @FreeBooter, I don't know exactly what caused the problem but disabling almost all of the Microsoft startups fixed it.

No external drives on either system.
