Hmm interesting. I dont think that would fix the issues as I have had 0 BSOD since i disabled Turbo mode in the BIOS, but maybe ill re-enable after i update drivers.
So the Turbo one under Power Management is what makes it fluctuate? Yeah with Fifa im at 50C right now at 3.6 clock speed. Idle it's only 32C. How would you set it to a certain clock? I may want to set it at 80% as my cooler is smaller until I get a better cooler.
At 3.6 its like at like 60C and runs fine, I think it's just EA Play with certain CPU/Boards I am sure that it doesn't like it or gel well. As I had no issues with other games with those settings on. I bet If I OC'd to 5.0 it would be fine, just didn't like it fluctuating I guess.
So I was able to play for almost 2hrs with no BSOD, but It was also idle/loaded for about 4hrs and didn't BSOD. I think Its safe to say it is fixed now.
Here is what I disabled in the BIOS:
Disabled Intel Adaptive Boost Technology (ABT)
Disabled ASUS Multicore Enhancement (MCE)
Advanced > CPU...
Well, I disabled the Boost settings in my bios and I was just able to play 4 games. I know I have had success before like this so won't say its 100% fixed. However, I have had the game just idle on the background for over 3 hours
Essentially disabled the Turbo boost modes for CPU under CPU...
I just noticed something. It looks like I may have a Turbo boost speed or something enabled in my BIOS because my current clock speed for CPU is at 4.8mhz and the default for the i9 10850k is 3.6. I do remember reading FIFA games didn't like overclocking would this be the issue?
Sadly I don't have another PSU to test it. Any stress test I can test the PSU with? Sound like it's either a RAM issue or PSU that I would have to buy to test it at this point.
Yeah, the strange thing is when I set it custom, I am able to play FIFA longer than when it is on auto in most cases. However, when I set it back to auto I stopped BSOD with prime95
I will check my PSU voltages also when I get a chance/home
Sorry, it was a suggestion in a video in this thread, and forgot to disable it. The strange thing is when I disable it and let it on Auto I can maybe play 30mins of FIFA. If I have it set to a custom 23,000 (I have 16GB of RAM) I can actually play for about an hour. Not sure if that helps at...
Not sure if you have seen my previous post, but It hasn't BSOD on my current test. The one thing I did do that I just remembered is swap to auto paging file instead of the custom that I had set. in Advanced Windows Settings.
I've tried EA forums/Support. Seems to be an issue with FIFA some people experience and nobody can really pin point it. I am using the EA Play app as you have to or the Origin App. Yes the confusing part is how I am able to play other games and no BSOD. I keep going back to something in the...
Well, I ran Prime95 for over an hour and still going, and NO BSOD. I didn't really change anything other than a restart after the last BSOD or shutdown.
So I am also lost now. I guess i should try using 1 RAM stick at a time and maybe 1 is defective or a slot
So I ran a Torture test > blend on Prime95 and after about 10 minutes I started seeing my CPU spike in temps was hanging around 60 then jumped to 70 -> 77 > 87 > BSOD
