Hmmm, I've already managed to change the icon of txt files, but as you can see the actual notepad when opened or pinned to my taskbar still uses the default icon. Or did I miss something?

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone, I will try them each one by one. So far I've tried using FileTypesMan, and this is the message I get: edit; I don't know if this is the correct notepad? since it has a different default icon than the one that shows up on my taskbar

That sucks, but I will download Notepad++ and maybe try a 3rd party taskbar then. Thanks for the replies everyone.
