Hey Fixer Thanks for this info. Interesting,, since I followed their instructions and used the correct Port number. I have a call-back scheduled with them in half an hour - I'll check the SMTP details again with them.

I've tried doing that (and in fact managed to update the IMAP/SMTP with their recommended settings, but still I can't send out emails. The provider has told me that the fault lies with Mail!

Dear Fixer - I thought they were the same thing. When I write mails it says sent from Mail for Windows underneath, so I guess it IS mail?

Thank you for your response. It much appreciated. However, my laptop is only 3 weeks old and the MS Office was newly installed by the tech guys at the shop, so I don't understand how WLM is no longer supported by MS?

I'm hopeless with technology and new to this forum (or any forum!), but I'm really desperate. After 11 years of using WLM for emails, my outgoing messsages are now getting stuck in my outbox. I run my business from this laptop and rely on mails being sent - I've never before had this problem...
