That is exactly the conclusion I reached today - it's a new PC or Win 10 Pro till I die. I'm 65 in 2025 when support ends for 10. I'll make it without 11.
Well hell. I'm screwed then. Thanks for the clarification. I'm not buying another computer just to get win 11, so... yet again, I'm a dinosaur. A new processor/computer gets sticky with the activation hoops. Damn.

Good to know, thank you. I'm more concerned about being able to upgrade for free if I wait until the end of 2021. I'd rather stay with Win 10 Pro and let all the detritus shake out before I upgraded. But if I wait and then have to pay, I'd risk upgrading now to take advantage of it.
WhyNotWin11 has reported my CPU as not currently listed as compatible. My CPU is Intel Core i5 7400 @ 3.00GHz. Does this mean that unless I upgrade my processor or buy a more current computer, that I'm SOL on hopes of getting Win 11?
