OneDrive is a big headache POS in my opinion. It may be responsible for your messed up folder/user situation. Did you upgrade IdeaPad or did it come with 11? Sometimes an upgrade can also mess with folders. Also I use a local account as I don't like all the background crap that seems to go on...
Didn't see this thread until your latest post. That is what I did when I jumped to 11, didn't use the System/Updates, and didn't have activation issues. Sounds like it is the better way to go. JMO it might also result in a cleaner upgrade. Glad it worked for you.
Definitely the easier option. For the super paranoid there is also the use USB boot to completely wipe the partition, ones or zeroes. A bit much I guess unless you're working for the CIA. :cool:

Yep, totally wiped my factory original 10 install when I got it. Reinstalled a nice clean 10 ISO download and key was automatically applied. When I upgraded to 11 no additional key info needed. It's in the chip.
