Well, after the update (took some time) and having to do the restore health (took some time), then ran a disk clean system files, I've recovered about 15GB of space.

USB DVD drives are quite cheap these days. And being portable makes them very useful IMO.

How much RAM?

Just a side note. Some like to poop on manufacturer utilities but personally love MSI Dragon Center on my laptop. It allows manually setting throttle points for the fans. After experimenting when I first got it with the settings, it now stays around 80-85 when heavily loaded. Sure it is a laptop...

Might also check Task Scheduler to see if something is activating every six hours. Could also see if disabling scheduled tasks one at a time has any effect. Seems strange it appears to be time based.

@Ceelix Hostile replies are never good, especially when the user was identifying even a possible issue. That would turn me off completely.

Hilarious, it was dead and now it lives again! That's one way to do it.
