Seems like it's been forever. Still need to test, but this is what I've got put together so far.
Going to try setting this PowerShell script in the default user startup.
REG LOAD HKLM\Default C:\Users\Default\NTUSER.DAT
# Removes Task View from the Taskbar
New-itemproperty...
Yes, this absolutely looks like the best option. Curious though, how to make the file delete itself. Just run delete at the end? I would think that if it was "in use" that wouldn't work.
Yes, this is correct. That was my first stop after HKLM didn't work. Default user hive did not sync any of the edits to the user account.
The run once task could work except that we are logging in 2-3 accounts during the set up process, so it would be up to the last agent working on the...
Testing a rollout of Windows 11 Enterprise and have a few things that I want to customize.
The first is removing widgets, search, chat, and task switch from the taskbar. The second is re-instating the classic right-click menu.
Now for the most part, these settings are configured in HKCU. The...
Anything. Even the drive health isn't showing up. It's only even giving the ID for the one disk in the array that isn't in RAID.
I have the same results with either my setup on my Asus X570-E, or on the server's H700 controller.
But it's kind of an improvement. Previous versions would just say...
I just wish the software would work with drives on RAID controllers. At least the newer version recognizes the drives. However I am completely unable to utilize any features because pretty much every metric outside of the identity of the disk is N/A.
I was noticing something similar. Had removed the widget icon, but didn't think about it still running somewhere else. Thanks for the link @Lucas North
Same with Linux, and yeah pretty much. Just like their "new" task switch/multi-desktop feature they claim is a "first ever", has actually been in KDE/Gnome for literal years already. They've taken a lot of design features that have been a stable in mobile OS'es for a while too.
Also having the...
Ok, have noticed this in the last couple of builds. I keep getting a warning from some apps that behaves as if I am not running on power, and have a low battery.
Now this if a full desktop PC. I have an APC backup UPS, but it's sitting at 100% and operates just fine. However when installing...
This is just for updates though, and is really only beneficial on a larger network with a lot of PC's.
I believe the OP's topic is specifically in regard to downloading major install images.
Interesting issue since updating to 471.41. At boot I am assaulted by errors from a variety of programs showing that nvidumd.dll is bad or not designed to run on Windows.
Tried a clean install and still get the same errors.
Prior to the update I also changed from a MSI GTX 1060 to a PNY GTX...
I rebooted, got starting welcome/setup messages like there was a major update, and haven't had the issue for a bit now. Yes I was tinkering with TranslucentTB.
