I guess I wasn't clear. My point was the computer wasn't even requiring me to scan my fingerprint. It was just logging me in.

Thanks, that worked. Sadly, the cause is still unknown and I have one less Windows feature to take advantage of. Hopefully Redmond will address this soon.

Thanks for the reply. I created a new local user and the issue persists. I downloaded a JPG file and saved it to the desktop. The file did not appear until I right clicked on the desktop and selected Refresh.
