You may be right but the laptop I bought in Feb. 2012 worked great for me.

I only replaced it with a larger SSD because of its size. I replaced it October 2023 with a WD Green M.2 2280 SSD 480GB as the price was right and I don't game with the machine. So hopefully the WD Green will last as long - I don't think the Green gets many positive reviews but for my light work with web creation and image manipulation and spreadsheets it should work OK.

They take them directly from the manufacturer... and list ALL the specs.

Newegg is also great when buying a laptop. They have excellent filters for laptops.
You can buy the laptop anywhere, but "find" it on Newegg.



A note on reviews on huge retailer websites... like Amazon and Newegg...
Don't go by the individual reviews, as some are written by idiots.
Instead, look at the percentage of say... five star reviews.
Things with a LOT of reviews and with say... 75% or higher, five star reviews... are usually decent items.
This works for most things, not just computer parts.

I also look at the percentage of 1 & 2 star reviews too. If those are more than 5% or 10%, then I don't consider buying that item.

I also like to see the percentage of 4 and 5 star reviews to equal 90% or above.
