@antspants Right now with everything that's popping up in so many directions IMO 24h2 was NOT ready for prime time. I just now discovered a glitch in my snipping tool. If someone would , please see if you have the same issue.
If I use snipping tool to take a snip, then select edit in paint, paint opens and lets me mark it up. But when I select save as and select my save location, it appears to save, but it doesn't.
The only way I can mark up a snip is to first save the snip within snipping tool, go to where I saved it, right click select open in paint,, make my markups,then save.
Paint will not save when accessed from the snipping tool..

Hi all,
I ran across this and felt readers of this forum might want to know this happens BEFORE they try to upgrade to 24H2.
FYi, While I don't use RAID configurations on my system(s), I have both WD SN770 and SN850 NVMe SSDs and so far have had no problems installing or using 24H2. Given that I suspect the RAID part is causing the problems. The article above provides some short term mitigation to address the problem before a fix can be put in place.

I have a Dell AIO system I built for my sister(haven't delivered it to her yet) and used a SN770 NVMe drive. Fired it up to check for a firmware update but nothing showed up. Looking at Western Digital it only suggests it's the 2 TB model with the issues and not the 1 TB model.

I have the 2TB SN580 as my data drive (smaller one as boot) and I've updated the firmware.
I had enough issues with that drive losing it formatting (going RAW) that I'm going to wait a little before installing.....after I do a complete backup of that drive, just in case.

I have a 1TB SN770 and a 2TB SN770 installed in an older machine. The 2TB drive received a firmware update but the 1TB has not. Windows 11 is installed on the 1TB drive. I needed to do a 24H2 repair by reinstall to address the machine failing (multiple tries by different means) to get the newest Windows update(s). First, setup wouldn't run, even on the 1TB drive, saying that I had incompatible hardware (NVME drive). I decided to make a Rufus USB and that allowed me to proceed with the repair by reinstall. Transition to 24H2 has been painful to say the least.
