I ran across an interesting Youtube Video by Chris Titus (
) which eludes to "Non CoPilot capable machines" running 24H2 having the Recall "feature". It seems that Recall may be hidden in there somewhere. MS has gone to great lengths to state that only CoPilot capable machines can run Recall. (Maybe, maybe not?) After watching the video I ran a general search for Recall, found nothing, trolled through both "services" and "GPEdit" (there is no search capability I could find), found nothing, then searched both my user profile and in the windows directory, and did find some Recall associated package files in the windows directory.

Not too sure what these "Experience packages" are, but I'm thinking they could be turned on with an update. Chris postulates they might have been left over from a build inadvertently, he's still investigating.

By default, Recall will only be enabled on HW-capable PC's. But there is only ONE 24H2 release out there, in the sense there isn't a 24H2 with Recall vs. 24H2 without Recall.

MS won't be shipping two different ISO's. Everyone gets the same ISO, but there are different rules at install or upgrade time for enabling Recall. If you want, there is a DISM command to change it yourself. But Recall is a built-in feature, it can't be downloaded from online sources. So that's why those files exist under C:\Windows\servicing\Packages.

I find Chris Titus to be more of a Windows enthusiast, and less of a tech guru. Other experienced Windows experts have known how actually Recall works, since it debuted earlier this year.

Another new vulnerability that didn't exist before. I can see the lawsuits start flying once hackers know how to break into this thing and unsuspecting people get hit.

Yep, Recall is not yet available. Soon only on Copilot+ PCs though. :alien:
