Thus far no issues with either Lightroom or Photoshop. These are from 90meg RAW files shot from a Nikon D850, 45.7 meg camera. They were processed first in Adobe Lightroom, then finalized in Adobe Photoshop on my Lenovo laptop with an i7-7600, integrated GPU, 16gig of RAM, 1TB SSD NVMe drive on Windows 11 Pro.

With a nice rig like that, I hope you are using an NVMe drive instead of a SSD.

I'm responding because you said that you are pushing 80MB files from your D850. I shoot with the D810 and my files are considerably smaller and then I thought you must be shooting in 14 bit instead of 12 bit. I usually shoot with a much info as I can and dump it when I don't need it any longer, but I've chosen to shoot in 12 bit instead of 14 because you can only see a slight difference if you under expose 5 stops. Here is a good article that details the difference. (You may also not be applying lossless compression either.)

I figure if I'm shooting at 5 stops under exposure, someone should just take my camera away.

Your D810 is not a D850. Your D810, like my D800E is a 36.3 mega pixel camera capable of producing 74 meg RAW files. The D850 with 45.7 mega pixel produces larger (91 meg) files at uncompressed 14 bit RAW files. Yeah, there's debate about that, but it's what I use.

I want as large a file as I can get to insure I get the most out of any editing situation, including cropping. That's me.

As for what drives - the photo you see is in my system specs ;)

I have a related issue with the beta and release preview channels, that has been fixed in dev channel (a while back). If you have two monitors and calibrate their color with a monitor calibration device (Xrite i1Display Pro for me), applying the calibration will fail. Windows 11 gets the monitors confused. This is a showstopper for me so I am stuck in the dev channel for now.

Photoshop works fine, but without a calibration my $2400 precision wide-gamut EIZO display is wasted (well any monitor is as far as accurate color).

I don't run a dual monitor setup (mainly due to space) nor have any experience with it, but will say I've read of similar issues under Windows 10, though I don't remember a fix.

I'm running a 24 inch NEC wide gamut monitor with its Spectraview monitor calibration software. I use it with X-Rite's i1Display puck. The software is still updated so I'm not worried about Windows 11. But, yeah, I won't know until I actually install the OS.

Now that 11 has been officialy released, here is the official Windows compatibility report from Eizo (for the color calibrated monitor software, ColorNavigator). I get a pop-up every minute saying there is a color mismatch. The Xrite calibration suite (i1Display color calibration puck) doesn't wok on my other monitor for the same reason. This is why I am stuck on dev branch, where it has been fixed for some time:

And who is that quoted notice from? X-Rite? Eizo?

I'm not sure I get this issue as I just calibrated my monitor using NEC's Spectreview II software with an X-Rite i1Pro colorimeter (puck), and I've got no issues here. The profile sticks and works, so no color management issues seen here.

This is on a clean install of Windows 11 RTM which was done earlier today. Also Photoshop is properly color managed as well.

I also have the possibility to upgrade to 11 via Windows Update, but I'm still in doubt for one reason: I don't know if Adobe programs (Lightroom, Premiere Pro, etc.) keep the settings before upgrade: projects, catalog, plugins, presets, export settings, keyboard shortcuts, etc, etc. If anyone has any idea,I would appreciate it. :)

Mine did when i changed over, But i suppose it depends on whether you do a clean install from scratch or an upgrade that transfers and keeps you're things
