Does anyone use Adobe Lightroom and use Windows 11? Performance and Lag Issues

As a hobbyist photographer, it is never a pleasant experience to have lag or performance issues when editing pictures. When I move the sliders with my wireless mouse on my Lenovo desktop, I am constantly getting lag, performance issues, and choppiness/jumpiness. Each time I move one slider with my mouse, it is constantly moving other sliders at the same time which seems jumpy. It doesn't have good mouse point precision. I have replaced the batteries in the mouse which didn't help, updated the BIOS/Chipset which I don't think or don't know if it helped.

This is when using Adobe Lightroom Classic. My system specs are listed for the Lenovo.

It could be ram related, How much usage are you seeing across the CPU/GPU/Ram?

It has 8 GB of RAM. I haven't upgraded it since I bought it.

I'm running Adobe's Photography plan (subscription) in having both Lightroom and Photoshop and have no "lag" issues here. You can see my system specs in system one. And I have 32gig of RAM.

Anyway, you might see if this helps - Adobe: Optimize performance

This may be irrelevant, but what version of Lightroom Classic are you running?

(It's not unusual for people to run an old version, to avoid the Adobe subscription.)

@bobkn: I have the Creative Cloud version. It is always kept up to date.

My computer has 8 GB of memory. It can be upgraded to 16 GB. However, when I run the Crucial scan, it has no suggestions for memory upgrades, just drive upgrades.

Are there known problems with older versions? Mine works fine and yes having bought a licence I don't want to start paying a subscription. It might be a winner business model but it's no good for me.

According to Memory Stock, I can upgrade it to 32 GB. That will max it out.

I'm a little surprised that Crucial doesn't list a RAM upgrade for that PC.

It is specified to use DDR4 3200 (Specs).

Here's a list from NewEgg. I suggest that you treat these as suggestions. You may be able to do better elsewhere. I've had good luck with Gskill and Corsair.

It's possible that upgrading RAM won't fix your issue. 32GB is nice to have for photo work, regardless.

Yeah, I figured that when you used the term "Lightroom Classic" as that would only be attributed to the subscription versions

Sorry i meant how much of the 8GB you have just now is being used % wise when the lag type things happen? Would be useful to check that as well as cpu/gpu usage although im sure its probably wanting more ram.

@Dru2: I did see and read the link you posted. I just don't want to buy more RAM and it and not work with my system. I guess since Crucial was no help with this one, I will follow @bobkn's advice and see which one fits my computer to max it out to 32 GB.

I have 2 suggestions
1. Be sure windows ink is disabled. I had a similar with jumpy sliders using a tablet with windows ink was enabled
2. Increase the size of your pagefile to at least 8 gb

@tbmljk, how do I increase the page file? I am going to eventually upgrade the memory to either 16 GB or 32 GB. Might start out at just 16 GB. Do you know where I can find the memory of 16 GB at a cheaper price? I am thinking the issue lies with the SSD storage space. I will post a screenshot of the space.
