I can envisage a point in time probably in the next 50 years, where Govts will supply a humanoid robot to each household or individual. For total control you will be tethered to your personal humanoid. There will be no opting out or you will be classified as an outlaw.
Yes, I have probably seen it in a movie, but art imitates life and often a potential future.

We will be told these humanoids will be for our convenience. There will be no computer operating systems, it will be one.

Watched a NHK World (Japan) item only today. About robots. Everyone is trying to make them human like in appearance. I disagree. They can be be like people but their skin colour should by Green, by law. Isaac Asimov foresaw the furture of AI back in the 50s, and the dangers. He also wrote the 3 laws of robotics which he said should be incorporated in every robot.

"A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law."

Also NHK World showed Robots, white, black, brown, oriental too.

He’s a writer, his imagination is wild. Not saying what he has said doesn’t have some merrit, but I think he was getting a little ahead of himself. I very much doubt an AI Anadroid would ever be allowed without assurances.
