I have an annoying McAfee advertisement popup I can't seem to get rid of that pops up every time I use my Firefox browser (the latest version). If I close the McAfee popup, it pops up again and again. There's no stopping it if Firefox is open. If I close Firefox, there is no popup. So I am not using Firefox at this time. I do however want to solve the problem. I checked "programs and features" in Control Panel, but there is no McAfee software installed there. I also checked to see if I had a rogue extension in Firefox. I do not. In fact I removed ALL extensions just in case it was hiding in there somewhere. I still get the popup when I use Firefox.
My short-term solution is that I stopped using Firefox altogether. I do not consider that this "solves" the problem.
Any ideas???
