- Windows 11, Win 10, Win XP (!!!!) for voice mail mini-pc
I had only one Win 11 PC on my network. It hosted the server for a business program and hosted a shared USB only printer that I use for custom forms. When I updated the very obsolete version of Win 11, installed without secure boot by hack and now with secure boot enabled, the printer can be seen elsewhere in the network but connecting to it fails. I used to connect to it from a Win 10 workstation just fine. I find You can not connect to a USB shared printer between two up to date Win 11 PCs. My testing has shown a USB Brother printer can not be shared to a Win 10 PC and a Win 11 PC can not access a USB Brother printer shared out of a Win 10 PC. In other words, as soon as you have an up to date Win 11 PC involved a USB printer, at least if Brother, can no longer be shared.
Any ideas?
