I use Ant Video Downloader for Firefox...the best in my opinion...which is no longer available as extension.
What i like to know is... if i copy my existing Firefox profile folder and make a back up and i have to re-install Firefox and then copy and paste profile folder
into Firefox would all my current extensions re-appear especially Ant Video Downloader ?

Copying and pasting your FF profile will import all the extensions you have now and Ant Downloader should be there, but I can not guarantee it will work. You run into a kind of a gray area here as that add-on is still in the FF store available for download though it does state it is no longer supported. I read that statement as its developer no longer supports it, not that FF doesn't support it. If this be the case, it should work just fine after you copy and paste your FF profile.

I always run the latest version of FF and I use several extensions. Several times my extensions have been disabled until the developer issued updates for them that would work with the latest version of FF.

Are you running the latest FF release which is 113.0.2 and Ant works OK with it or are you running an old version of FF in order to run legacy apps? The reason I ask this is if you are running an old release of FF in order to run legacy extensions and you import the extension data over into a new release, FF will probably disable any unsupported extension.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.
