Any known way to put a working RecBin on the taskbar?

Brink's solution for this challenge was perfect for Win 10, but can't work (yet) for 11. Here's hoping.
The idea is that it must do two things: alternate between empty and full icons, and offer a context-menu button to Empty the Recycle Bin.
(I had no trouble getting the icon onto the taskbar, and it opens the RecBin folder with one click, so that I can empty it with another click, but it offers no context menu, and it never changes its appearance, to let me know that it needs attention.)
