Any Stock traders here (Options markets) with EXCEL 2021

Hi folks

Tidying up some old disks I found some old spreadsheets I used to use -- however access to things like Yahoo financial API has changed a lot.

Any Idea how I can get this type of stuff back on track with EXCEL 2021 and Yahoo (or other type of financial data with API to pull required data out)

Check native Excel functions. I know it already has native ability to do currency exchange in real-time, something I learned a few months ago when re-doing some spreadsheets for my company's B2B rep.

I'd love to get this sort of stuff working again - got a bit more time now as I only do "part time" gigs these days -- I think as they say in parts of the UK "The Great Retirement" where apparently after the Covid pandemic they just can't get enough people back again into the workforce - and it's not only in the UK either -- I'd hate going back "Full Time" these days. !!!

I'm full-time 100% remote for my company. I mean, *technically* every employee is, as the official headquarters is in Hong Kong and no one actually lives there.

I might peruse some of those links myself, I need to learn how ot do this myself.

If only I'd bought AMAZN in 2011 -- they were still losing zillions back then !!! How things change.

I've found the the "Weeklys" on options exchange - Chicago CBOE (no typo that's what they are called) really interesting - they expire on Fridays and you can buy in "dollops" of 100 USD per "contract" -- most other exchanges need 1000 USD per contract and they expire monthly.


I used to have an e*trade account from Amsterdam but they've now moved only to US bur DEGIRO is good as alternative from NL where I can trade on US markets.

Iceland is in the EEA and has 100% access to the EU's internal market (thankfully) so no probs there -- but what a hassle dealing with US financial / IRS - I needed to get a "Witholding Tax exemption for a Non resident". What a mess that was - but all sorted. !! Not sure who has the worst bureaucracy - Indian Railways, Chinese People Liberation army, UK's National Health service or USA's Federal Govt's IRS !!! Close call all ways round !!!.

Being Indian, and working for a company that has all of its manufacturing in China, amongst those three I can definitely say that here in the US it's definitely convoluted, to say the least.

As every tax-paying resident know.
