Any workaround for Classic Start in Windows 11?

I see that the the Start_ShowClassicMode key has stopped working as of the latest build. Is there a workaround?

I also ran Regshot. I compared the before and after shots... it made about 10 registry changes... all in HEX... and didn't change anything with the Start Menu. So I restored from a backup. :/


I don't think the program was "up to no good" but it only took me 1:53 to restore from backup. It would have taken me an hour at least to undo the registry changes.

Should have just backed up the registry, first. :D


I'm fairly sure that program was written before 22000.65. Kind of disappointed with ghacks reporting, on this one.



To be fair... they did say this near the top of the article...

Update: it appears that Microsoft has removed the option to switch to the classic Windows 10 Start Menu layout in Windows 11 in the most recent build of the upcoming operating system. End
